Just a note to say I found your website and it's quite wonderful! Thought I'd attach a photo of our Lemel Home that was shot after a spring thunderstorm this year. (If you have software to view it.) Everyone in the area still knows who we are as soon as we describe the house ... "the big cedar house on top of the hill behind Greens Hideaway". We still love the place and are always recommending you to people who are talking of building. Thanks again for making it possible. Dear Joe Lemel,
It was a joy and a pleasure to be able to build a Lemel home. The professional quality of workmanship throughout the building process was not only tile top of the line but better than we have looked at.
Before we selected Lemel to be our builder we had looked at many homes from the ground up. I don't mean just going from one open house to another but going to the work sites and watching them build the homes. Many home-builders skip a lot to save here and there but when Lemel builds, everything is built to spec's. We are proud to say that Lemel built a house that we can make a home last for many years to come.
We would like to thank everyone involved with building our dream home and a special thanks to the following. Ron Hinske for all the work he had done to get us set up from choosing the country ranch to helping us finding the right financing. May he treat all his customers this well. To Liz who we just found out will no longer be with the Lemel family good luck to being a happy homemaker bless you for all you have done in a very professional manner it was a joy working with you throughout the process.
To all the contractors, subcontractors, salespersons we had worked with thanks for your time and effort to make this the best home possible. And last but not least the office staff of Lemel who without them things would not have been run so smoothly.

Dear Joe,
In today's business world, very seldom do people take the time to write a letter, or pick up the phone to communicate a positive experience. On the other hand, most people are very quick to holler, scream, or complain. I'm happy to say that I'm in the first category of people.
April 11, will mark our first anniversary in our new home. The professionalism response time, communication and follow-up are to be commended. I have to admit, based on our last building experience, with all the broken promises, my wife and I are extremely happy with our decision to build with Lemel Homes. In addition, if we ever have the need to build again, I would not hesitate to call Lemel.
After 11 months in the house, we had zero major defects, a few minor items and only one disappointment, the hard wood floors. We have a handicapped six-year-old daughter in a wheel chair and were a little hesitant about the durability of the hard wood floor. But, after talking with you at our initial meeting, you convinced us that they would stand up, as your kid's even roller bladed on the floors at your lake home. Unfortunately. the floors look like they are much older than the house, as they show a large amount of scuffs and scratches. We noted this disappointment on our 11 month follow-up.
Other than this one disappointment, we are very happy and have recommended Lemel Homes to friends looking to build. Again, my sincere thanks to you and your staff for a wonderful building experience.

Dear Mr. Lemel:
My wife and I wanted to send this letter to Lemel Homes to thank you for the wonderful job that you all did in the construction of our new home. From start to finish it was virtually problem free, and when there was a problem it was fixed immediately, most of the time without us even asking. There are a few people we would especially like to thank First, would be Bonnie Erickson and Lorry Granof Lorry for taking the time to sit in on all our meetings before the building ever started, and helping us get the things we wanted at a price we could afford Bonnie was a huge help to us in every way, she was honest with us, and was always there and willing to help with any problem. Even after the house was completed she went above and beyond what she needed to do, and showed that she really cares about the people she deals with.
Once construction started we dealt with Ray who was helpful in reorganizing some of our plan to the way we wanted it, and made sure it was done right. Nick was our expediter, and we couldn't imagine who would do a better lob than he did From day one he was on top of everything and answered any questions we had When I called him (And that was a lot) he always got back to me right away even though I'm sure he had many more important things to take care of Even when there was a small problem Nick knew about it before 1 did, and by the time I asked about it, he'd have arranged for someone to fix it. Even you came out to our land when the house was staked out, and suggested which way, would be the best way, to face the house. Last but not least, Carol has been a big help in getting the finishing touches on the house after it was finished, and checking up to make sure there were no problems. She also helped us when we had a problem with the cabinet maker, and resolved the whole issue quickly.
We looked at about 30 different builders before choosing Lemel, but all that looking paid off because in the end I know we went with the best. All the things I listed above may seem little, but trust me, to the people who's home your building they are huge. From your staff to your sub-contractors you all did a great job. If you ever need a referral please feel free to call us. Thanks Again.

I can remember the first meeting where you, Dave, and I sat down to discuss the possibility of Lemel building our new home. I had my list of wants and a price range that I had set. What impressed me from the start was your ability to listen to my wants and convert them into my long-term needs. You changed my scope to a solution that better suited my family and our lifestyle. What also impressed me was your flexibility when working with me to reduce the cost of the home. Finding the right solution and working to make it a reality showed the experience and integrity that you and the others at Lemel Homes have.

Ray Bies- Right after the hole was dug, a problem was identified with the soil conditions. Ray promptly addressed the problem, accurately documented the issues, and kept me informed. His professionalism and care for the customer made the issue much more tolerable. Nice Job Ray!
Ron and Randy- I'm a firm believer that if your framing and rough carpentry is done right, the rest of the project will go well. I was impressed with their attention to detail and their willingness to listen to my concerns. Again, a job well done.
Nick Rehlinger- I found Nick extremely easy to work with. I took on quite a few tasks to try to control the overall costs, and Nick was flexible and patient in helping me get through the deliverables without impacting the process. The role of the expediter I would assume to be very difficult. he needs to keep the contractors moving forward while addressing sometimes ridiculous owner demands. Nick has a calmness that I appreciated throughout the process. he understands that sometimes things can get stressful, but he remains optimistic and addresses the issues head on. Nick helped to make this experience very enjoyable.

Jeri Hahn- Julie and Jeri worked will together and I believe the end result looks wonderful. I can tell that Jen really enjoys her job. She was always open to reviewing our various suggestions, and her advice was always very valuable.

Sandy Kipp was very well organized and kept the finances and changes clearly documented. Lastly, Susan Hill was always so pleasant to speak with. you have quite and outstanding support team Joe!

To Our Friends and Family,
Judging from the crowded streets and malls I can tell it must be Christmas time! The end of another year; a great time to reflect on not only what has happened, but also on what lies ahead. We've had plenty of events that shaped this past year and we look forward to many more in the year to come.
To start, we began building on our new home in January. It was exciting seeing the first shovel of dirt as the excavator ripped it from the frozen ground. The plans we had laid out on paper began to take shape. We were ready with the camera and camcorder from the start. Selecting the colors, carpeting, counter tops, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, ect. was one of the more enjoyable activities we've done. Many people warned us that building a home would be strenuous. Not so! Although we don't know if we would want to do it again, we certainly enjoyed the building experience.
Five months later we were ready to move in. Amazing how everything just fell into place. Our expediter really did a great job of organizing and scheduling all the subcontractors to complete the home when they did. Even after living in the new home for 5 months the newness has not warn off. We built a 3129 square ft. home with another 200 square ft. in the basement that will be finished off at a later date. There are 3 garden windows and it is plumbed for a full bath and kitchen area. We will have a fifth bedroom, playroom/game room, theater room, and storage room. The 1.1 acres of property is on a culde-sac in a new subdivision that will have a total of 45 homes.

Dear Joe,
We love our Lemel home! After several days of unpacking boxes and creating some semblance of order, we wanted to personally thank everybody that made our building experiences so relatively painless. Please share this with each of them.
First, thanks to Bonnie for such personal and diligent dedication to introducing us to the home-building process, being "pushy" with the City of Muskego, taking numerous telephone calls to reassure us during times of uncertainty-even when it did not fall under her "job description"-and capturing it all on film for posterity! Also, for the needed hugs of appreciation and reassurance.
A big thanks to you, Joe, for your down-to-earth approach to the building process; you treated us as people creating a home, rather than another number to add to the annual sales goal. Your sage advice was appreciated; your interest in creating a home for a family readily apparent, and your attention to our home-building never waned, even through times of personal turmoil. Thanks also to Susan for taking our incessant phone calls without ever a hint of irritation and always making sure our messages were delivered. Your job isn't an easy one and you handle it with grace.
To Betty: you entered our building process during a time of confusion. Your professionalism, diligence, and attention to detail eased our nerves considerably. Thanks for always "checking it twice".
To Ray: you made "heads from tails"; thank you for explaining to novices such things that are second nature to a seasoned construction engineer without making us feel ignorant.
To Sandy: a big thank you for keeping us up-to-date on our account; explaining change orders, draws and every other financial aspect to building. Your thoughtful answers to our numerous phone calls were very much appreciated.
And finally to Rich: It is almost difficult to find the words of immense appreciation for the job that Rich so successfully oversaw and completed. Daily phone calls from Steven handled with patience is a virtue in and of itself. But, your persistence and dedication to getting us into a home two days before the closing of our previous home and one month before the original estimated time of occupancy is amazing!!! (We had bets with friends who had built with other companies that it would never happen-they lost!) Thanks, as well, for doing, on your own, little odds and ends that needed to be completed for occupancy. (Note to Joe: Rich deserves a salary raise! A BIG one!)
We hope we have not forgotten anybody. If we have, we apologize, yet still appreciate the job you must have done to complete our home. We have heard story after story of bad building experiences with builders that shall remain nameless and waited for "our turn". Fortunately that never came to pass. Any building process will undoubtedly have glitches; the manner in which Lemel Homes addressed those problems was exemplary and we thank you for it. Your warmth in dealing with people, your honesty, integrity, and customer service is both unparalleled and extraordinary. Thanks!

It has been a month since we closed on our house and we felt the need to write this letter. From the time we met Bonnie Erickson until the day that we were handed the keys to our new home, our experiences were filled with positive interactions. We came to your company with alot of skepticism and distrust for the construction business, but in the end we have become Lemel Home commercials.
First and most important you designed us a house of a lifetime. It was exactly what we wanted and you were extremely attentive to our wishes. Rich was an outstanding expediter. He was always patient and respondent to our requests and concerns. He was the ultimate professional and never gave up on bringing issues to a resolution. Rich orchestrated the workers and gave us a sense that we were top on his list even though we knew he was working on many homes.

I would just like to let you know about the great service that we have from Lemel Homes. First of all, our building experience with them was outstanding. They were honest and straight forward always, and we enjoyed working with them. This summer our home was three years old, well past the one year warranty. We began experiencing water problems with our windows. Even though our warranty was long expired, Lemel came out at least 4-5 times to figure out the problem and resolve it. The window company, Weather Shield, was no help at all and did not stand behind their product, but Lemel Homes did all they could to help us fix our water problem. We would just like you to know about the outstanding service we received, and would like to recommend Lemel Homes to anyone considering building in the future.

Although often times the building process can be a stressful, less than enjoyable experience, we found the opposite to be true building with Lemel. The construction crews-all of them that we came into contact with, were very friendly and pleasant. On top of that, they were very hard workers and got the job done and done well.
